Hello! Firstly, thank you for taking the time to have a wonder through our website. Jack Dryden has done a rather fantastic job with it and I really hope you come back to it often.
This blog is one of the most exciting things about The Argosy Arts Company. Here you’ll find all the latest news about our projects, as well as editorials and reviews about the art and entertainment industry, written by people who love what they’re writing about.
We want to make Argosy something personal, communal and conversational, and I think this is one of the best ways of doing it. I’d love to be able to tell you about what things we have lined up, but we haven’t got anything lined up. This blog is a total blank slate. To quote the mystic songstress Ellie Goulding, “Anything Could Happen”.
So how about we start in the most meek and desperate way possible; by begging for your money?
Our first theatre production will be “The House of Edgar” (though if you’ve watched the clip above you probably know that already). We’re hitting the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer, but to do so we need to crowdfund. If you like our songs and concept (of which you can hear and read more on this website), we would be incredibly grateful if you could donate.
The smallest possible donation is just £5, and with this you will gain access to an exclusive monthly email filled with info on Edgar’s progress, plus information about our wider work. If you can’t afford that, just sharing our crowdfunder page on any social media platform would be considered just as generous.
Thank you for reading this preamble. Welcome to The Argosy Arts Co.
